Join artist Lily Golightly as you create collaborative poetry and sound pieces that are inspired by your emotions.
Using the structure of poetry and meditation as a guide, workshop participants will work with the artist to write poems which will then be recorded and featured within the Cloaks as a part of the To Wear Your Heart on Your Sleeve exhibition in the Kids & Families Gallery. More information about the exhibition: To wear your heart on your sleeve | Resources
Poets of all walks of life and experience are invited to share a few words and help to build an audio component to bring the Cloaks to life!
Please note: Participants must sign a permission to publish form on the day of the workshop in order to participate in the audio recording component to create the sound pieces. The sound pieces will be exhibited from Monday 25th May – Sunday 12th July 2026 and all participants will be acknowledged with their name listed on a wall label adjacent to the work. The audio recording will only be used for the exhibition period and will not be used after the exhibition period.
